Extra Ticket information for December 2009 ceremonies
4th and 5th of December - MDHS & Vet Sci
There are NO extra tickets for the following ceremony:
Saturday 5 December at 3:30pm – MBBS (Medicine)
There are extra tickets available for the following ceremonies:
- 5th December at 10:30am (Dentistry, Veterinary Science)
- 4th December at 6:00pm (Physiotherapy, Health Sciences, Nursing & Social Work)
These will be made available for distribution from Tuesday 1st December from the Student Union information desk.
- The tickets will NOT be made available before this date and cannot be reserved or mailed out.
- Please *DO NOT* approach the Student Union information desk staff prior to this date (Tuesday 1st December) to ask for tickets as they will not be able to assist you.
- Similarly, please do not phone or email the Graduations Office and ask for spare tickets as we cannot assist you in this respect.
- Students may attend in person on Tuesday 1st December; or send a friend or relative to collect tickets
- There is no charge for these guest tickets
15 – 22 December ceremonies
As a general rule, you should not count on being able to invite more than the three (3) guests provided for in your official ticket allocation.
However, if you are interested in extra tickets, please note that:
- Final numbers for your ceremony will be determined very close to the ceremonies.
- You should check at this webpage from 1st December 2009 to see if any spare tickets are available for your ceremony and if so, how and when they will be distributed.
- Please do not phone or email the Graduations Office and ask for spare tickets.
Postgraduate Diploma, Postgraduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Graduate Certificate
If you have completed one of these awards, you do not attend a ceremony. Instead, you will graduate in absentia at the next available award date (in the March 2010 conferring round), and your certificate will then be sent to you during the second half of April 2010.
Within Australia, certificates will be sent via eParcel; certificates are sent to overseas addresses via international courier.
A letter advising that your award is to be granted in March 2010 and giving you the opportunity to amend any name or address details if necessary will be sent to you in late February 2010.
Please ensure your address for the SUMMER period is up to date via your Student Portal, as this is where this letter will be sent.
Doctoral degrees
- students who have completed Doctor of Philosophy degrees should receive information specific to their graduation from MSGR upon completion. This will include a list of available ceremony dates for them to choose from for graduation.
- Students who have completed other doctorates should receive information specific to their graduation from their Faculty upon completion. This will include a list of available ceremony dates for them to choose from for graduation.
